Just got back from two weeks leave, ten days of which were spent in Phuket, Thailand.
What a blast - if you haven't been, you should do you self a favour and travel there. Currently it is monsoon season, and so is low season. My wife (Kathy) and I benefited by having very few fellow tourists to battle with!
We stayed at the Moevenpick Resort and Spa on Karon Beach, a Swiss run hotel that was beautiful - nothing was too much trouble for the staff there.
The James Bond cocktails are dynamite and who wouldn't enjoy sitting by the pool on a 32 degree day enjoying a quiet drink with the one you love.
Perfect.
Back to business this week, thus more posts and photos coming soon.
Enjoy

Pony Club
Today I headed bush! Sounds dramatic doesn't it? And 'bush' may be overstating the situation somewhat...
I actually went to visit my sister and her family at Glossodia, about a one and a quarter hour drive from my home in Rosebery. Upon arriving (and previously warned by Craig - my brother-in-law) the clan was found at the pony club, a short one minute drive from their house.
Charlotte is quite the accomplished rider, and below are a few shots from the day, along with a link to more images. Please enjoy...
Charlotte enters the dressage arena on 'Teddie'.
A fair degree of concentration at play, both on the part of the pony and rider, with each taking it in turns to lead...
Charlotte demonstrated her confidence on her horse back (pony back?) and revealed in the opportunity to indulge in her favourite pastime.
Proud parents after Charlotte exited from displaying her proficiency for the judges.
Moving between markers 'E' and 'R' at a gentle trot - as if I know what I am talking about! I am reliably informed there was a course to be followed, and I'm confident that Charlotte was following that course.
For me, just concentrating on where I stood (we are in the countryside now people, with lots of ponies) and trying not to put Charlotte off!
Beaming and beautiful sister Julie.
As promised, here is the link to more pictures...
